‘90210’ season 5 spoilers: Ready to rock out?

The fifth-season premiere of “90210” on The CW is only a matter of days away, but rather than focus just on the premiere, we are also going to be looking ahead at what is going to be coming up down the road.

According to a new report from TVLine, indie-rock group Tegan and Sara have been cast in some capacity during the show’s upcoming holiday episode airing of course in December. We don’t know if they are going to play anyone other than themselves, but it would make sense for this sort of cameo to occur. Why?  It is “90210” tradition have a number of artists appear on the show and promote their music, including former “American Idol” contestant Haley Reinhart this past season.

There are a number of interesting guest stars that are going to be coming up for the season, especially for the upcoming landmark 100th episode of the show including the likes of Taio Cruz, Carmen Electra, and Denise Richards. The show is going through an adjustment period this year, as it is moving to a new night in Mondays alongside “Gossip Girl.” In addition, it also has to recover a little bit from what was its first major ratings slide last year, as it and many other shows on The CW ended up struggling last year as primetime television across the board ended up making a major decline.
