Lucifer season 4 video: Tom Ellis, Lauren German chat in Netflix promo

Lucifer

While Netflix may not have a premiere date or any official footage out there for Lucifer season 4 just yet, we have something else to share today that is certainly delightful in its own right.

The video below does a great job of telling you a tiny thing or two about the upcoming season coming exclusively on Netflix for the first time, and it also does introduce you for the first time to Inbar Lavi as a major part of the show. Her character of Eve will have a great deal of responsibility in terms of stirring the pot and causing a little bit of trouble, whether that means getting involved in Lucifer’s personal life or causing problems for some people close to him.

For some Lucifer video discussion of our own, you can see some of the latest at the bottom of this article! On the other side of seeing it, we suggest that you subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube and remember to also check out our show playlist. You don’t want to miss any other updates that we’ve got.

This promo doesn’t go too far sharing more spoilers than this — as a matter fact, Lauren German sort of takes on the role of secret-keeper while Lavi and Tom Ellis are a bit more liberal. Ellis also gets a little liberal with his clothing at the end, a cheeky reminder that with this being Netflix, there are a few things that the show can do here that it can’t at Fox. (Don’t take this as a huge sign, though, that things are going to be drastically different — they won’t be. There may just be a few more butts here and there.)

Is this a surprising way to start rolling out the promotion for the new season? Sure, but what we do like about it is that it shows that Netflix is getting set to make a little bit of a larger commitment to this show, one that is probably also going to include another preview in some shape or form over the next couple of weeks and then maybe an extended trailer a little bit after the fact. The best thing that any Lucifer fan can hope for is that the campaign here is robust from now until whenever the show is available to stream, which we personally feel will be at some point next month. We’ve already even made the case that it should launch around Memorial Day Weekend, a time where it can take advantage of very little competition — and then beyond just that the lack of Game of Thrones on the air anymore. Wanna talk about a just-opened gap in the market? That’s one of the best ones imaginable for anyone!
