If you think back to yesterday’s two-part The Blacklist event, it may be easy to draw the conclusion that Reddington’s just done with the search for who sold him out to the police. That’s not actually the case. Instead, think of Reddington as a man in hibernation as of late, at least when it comes to these specific issue in his life. He hasn’t forgotten about the problem so much as he’s just kicked it down the curb, knowing that he will need to take it on and dive into it a little bit further when the opportunity presents itself.

That opportunity may be shouting “hello” at red on the upcoming April 12 epiosde (the 16th of this season) entitled “Lady Luck.” Over the course of this one, you’re going to see Raymond take a closer look at some of his associates — a means in which he’s using to potentially single out the mole in his operation once and for all. The synopsis below offers more hints:

04/12/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : Liz (Megan Boone) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) investigate a Blacklister who offers to erase gambling debts – at a deceptively high price. Meanwhile, Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) grows concerned as Red (James Spader) tests the loyalties of their business associates in search of the individual who turned him in to the police. Michael Aronov guest stars. TV-14 V

Where things get a bit trickier is when you factor in Dembe, the one person within Reddington’s team who knows a little something that nobody else does — he realizes Liz’s impact on his arrest and what happened, but he chose to keep the information from him via her request. It’s really one of the gutsiest things that Dembe has ever done when you think about how Reddington treats people who he believes have wronged him at some point. Ask Mr. Kaplan about that. He’s been committed to this cause, but what happens when the chips are down? Is this really even something that Reddington can walk away from? We’re going to have to learn a little bit more info about that as this episode gets closer to airing.

As for the rest of this episode, there’s nothing within the synopsis that indicates that the saga of Aram versus Reddington will carry over to this point — though it does feel like our resident computer whiz has his blood boiling at the moment. He blames Reddington for helping Samar escape the country without him — we do think matters are a tad more complicated than that, but whether or not this is something that Aram can actually see and/or recognize is what we’re going to have to learn over time. He’s just blind right now with anger and heartache, and who can blame him? If you lose the love of your life, you’re going to be looking to reach out and target someone, anyone, who you can place your anger on.
