NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 17 return date: Is Pride back?
Where do we go here? Eenie, meanie, miney, … return date! Obviously, you want to know when Scott Bakula and company are coming back to CBS before virtually anything else. The next new episode will be coming your way on Tuesday, March 26, otherwise known as two weeks from tonight. This episode is entitled “Reckoning” and the top story to report with it is probably the return of Dwayne Pride to the office! He’s going to be heading back down to his old stomping grounds, presumably in a little more permanent a capacity … not that he wasn’t around beforehand. The thing for Pride is that in making his move over to the corporate office in the first place, he felt like it may be the best thing for him. Being directly in the line of fire is difficult, even if you’re someone who has seen so many shootouts over the years. It was hard to even really know if he’d ever adapt to being in the crosshairs the same way ever again; but, we think that most of those fears were washed away by the death of his father.
This is who Pride is — for better or for worse (but mostly better), this is the guy who roams the streets with the bottomed-up shirts like a cat catching his criminal prey. He knows this city like the palm of his hand and while there are other good people on the team, nobody is quite like him. Also, we think Pride would’ve slowly lost his mind if he was stuck in that officer, wearing a suit for the better part of the next several years. It’s just not the scene for someone who spends their off hours with a piano, some fine alcoholic beverages, and plenty of rowdy friends. (The right kind of rowdy, that is.)
So what’s specifically bringing Pride back to his old position? The NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 17 return date has a little more scoop:
“Reckoning” – After a reshuffling of assignments, Pride is no longer Special Agent in Charge of the Southeast and returns to the New Orleans NCIS office during the investigation of a missing petty officer, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, March 26 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The case itself feels boilerplate — it’s the stuff before and after that could set our heart aflame. What does Pride’s return mean for the remainder of the team? Is it like riding a bike, where he picks it up and is immediately great at it? These are some important things that this episode will need to figure out. (Given that this is Dwayne Pride, master of crime-fighting and streetwise sleuth extraordinaire, it’s hard to imagine any result other than a glorious one.)
