ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: Who was aboard the boat?

During the opening flash-forward at the beginning of the second season of “Revenge,” we saw a glimpse into what was ultimately a very ominous future; namely, one where there was a boating accident where someone appears to be already knocking on death’s door or already beyond it.

So who is the person that we saw just a limb of during this sequence? Executive producer Mike Kelley is of course not saying, but he did at least give a pretty major hint in an interview with TV Guide:

“It’s a man and it’s someone you know.”

In addition to this, Kelley also added that the initial rumors from earlier this year that there could be a wedding coming up this season, and that it would be a part of the flash-forward, may very well still end up being true:

“No one’s saying there’s not a wedding that night. I just didn’t show that part. There is at least one wedding and probably two by the time we get to the boat wreck.”

So when are we going to find out some more information on this subject? Let’s just say that you are going to still be waiting for a while to find out. We will learn whose arm was submerged with the boat in the 14th episode of the new season, which is going to air at some point during the February sweeps. From there, the rest of the season will probably be about connecting us from point A to point B, at least unless unless this episode takes us all of the way to the present.
