The Bachelor overnight dates: Colton Underwood finally jumps the fence

The Bachelor

Next week, The Bachelor is giving you an epic two-hour event, one that will feature, in part, overnight dates — and also Colton talking about his first time in a super-cringeworthy way. This is going to send all of Bachelor Nation into a tailspin, mostly because we are FINALLY going to see the fence in action! Colton’s jumping it! It’s happening!

Now, the big question you gotta wonder is this: Why jump the fence? Why go crazy here? Why spend all season long building up to this moment? Well, it’s not just about Colton jumping the fence — it’s also about why it happens. Colton ain’t out here jumping over fences for no reason at all. There is a clear motive behind it, and it may have to do with an advanced feeling of distress for him.

Is Colton setting himself up for heartbreak? We’re starting to think that, given that Cassie Randolph seems to have a lot of his heart by also seems like a part of the appeal here is that she is the person who still seems resistant. There’s something for him to fight for here that isn’t there with the remaining two women in Hannah Godwin and Tayshia Adams. That was clear when Hannah described wanting to be in the fantasy suite with him; however, she was clearly nervous and concerned over it. There’s also the added pressure here of Cassie’s father not wanting to give him his blessing to get engaged to her.

All of this is being set up as an enormous calamity, one that could define the end of Colton’s season.

Then, there is the Women Tell All

In other news, we’re going to have a chance to see a lot of women audition to be on Bachelor in Paradise. Expect to see Demi go toe-to-toe with some people, and also some answers, hopefully, to the subject of whether Caelynn and Cassie cared more about being the Bachelorette while they were on the show than they did about being with Colton. This is going to be a bizarre version of the annual event … which is often just filler. The big difference this season is that it feels like a lot of these women really don’t like each other. That could actually make Paradise more fun when it happens…
