Love Island USA season 8 episode 22: The Corey, Carl debate
As we prepare for Love Island USA season 8 episode 22, we know that viewers are facing a big choice — one that could influence the remainder of the show. Who will come back to the villa?
Before we dive too deep into this, we should note that we are primarily looking at this right now when it comes to the guys — also, we are technically only looking at two of the guys. Corey and Carl are the only ones with a realistic chance of coming back and based on what we’ve seen online, they are also the only ones who are currently getting some semblance of votes or attention. The results are going to be revealed during episode 23 on Sunday — remember that tonight marks another edition of Aftersun.

The case for Carl – This one is really not that complicated: It represents a second chance for Aniya, who was told repeatedly not to stay with KC but she chose to do so anyway. She regretted it soon after, and Carl did clearly care about her. Having her realize that America wants this may solidify with her further that this is a relationship worth exploring. The only real concern here is that, as she said last night, attraction played a huge role in her wanting to stick with KC. If she is not as attracted to Carl, does anything else really matter?
The case for Corey – This one is more complicated, but in a way, it would signal America wanting Melanie to pursue someone other than Sincere for the remainder of her time on the show. This is dependent fully on whether or not she’d listen, as she continues to default back to him — and the fact that he technically chose her after Casa may complicate things further. There is a high ceiling for drama here, but also a chance it becomes a total nothing-burger sooner rather than later.
