911 season 2 episode 11 promo: Who’s getting stabbed?

911 season 2

You’ve been waiting for some time to get more 9-1-1 season 2 episode 11 news (it’s really been a long wait!, but luckily we have some new scoop for you!

Today, Fox revealed the latest promo for the upcoming batch of episodes starting off on Monday, March 18 (you can check that out below). There is a lot of action and some dramatic rescues in here, but there’s one moment, in particular that may have you gasping: Chimney getting stabbed. Could the show really kill him off? The end of the promo does make it seem as though there is some sort of funeral procession going down, which certainly is not the sort of thing that makes us breathe easy. He has already escaped death once with the whole rebar through the head incident in season one, hasn’t he gone through enough already?

If there is a reason to have hope for Chimney’s future, though, it’s simply this: Why in the world would Fox give away someone’s potential death in a promo? What’s the logic behind that? There is no reason to think that the show would want to do something that would ultimately jeopardize their own ability to deliver a massive surprise. We certainly think that the character is in danger, but there’s still a reason to have hope.

Of course, there’s also a reason to worry about someone else given that often, some of these promos have a history of delivering some fairly massive misdirections.

What Fox is excited for

More than likely, they’re just amped-up to see if this series can remain a hit on the same level that it’s been for them over the past year or so, given that 9-1-1 kicked off in early 2018 as a ratings sensation for them — maybe Fox hoped for good numbers from it, but they likely never imagined this. It’s one of their scripted properties that feels like an absolute lock for renewal and really, there is no reason to think otherwise. There’s maybe a small reason to worry about the long hiatus potentially pushing away viewers, but even if that happens 9-1-1 will still be one of Fox’s bigger scripted hits with just 80% or so of the audience that it had in the fall. There are eight more episodes still to come this season, so we’ll wait and see precisely what happens with some of them.

For now, consider the gauntlet thrown as 9-1-1 continues to find ways to entertain you … and also possibly have you super-worried about some of the characters in the process.
