’30 Rock’ season 7 spoilers: Jack McBrayer teases ‘Breaking Bad’ star’s role

Are you ready for some more “30 Rock”? Thursday night marks the premiere of the show’s seventh and final season, and you have to expect that the producers are going to pull out all of the stops here. After all, the goal here is going to be finding a way for Liz, Jack, Tracy, and the rest of the gang at NBC to find a way to reach a happy ending, while at the same time not making it the syrupy-sweet thing that this show has worked so hard to stay away from over the years.

One way in which that the show is looking for sure to top itself by doing this year is introducing a greater array of guest stars than ever before, including a rather memorable appearance by one Bryan Cranston, who is making one of his few appearances as an actor away from “Breaking Bad” as of late as Kenneth’s step-father. Jack McBrayer was a part of a conference call with reporters on Tuesday, and he did his best to further explain a few details here as to what we can expect from this relationship, and it does not look like it will be one devoid of some major flaws:

“[Cranston’s] character [could] be the nicest guy, but Kenneth has so much baggage with his mom and his family so that [he] can do no right in his eyes.”

We also know that producers are looking to bring back a number of other popular faces from the show’s past before dropping the curtain one final time, and this will probably lead towards a few surprises that go unannounced until they happen. (Please, let Jon Hamm be one of them.) Thanks to a new deal with Universal, it does look at least like Tina Fey is going to stay a part of this family even long after this season if over.
