‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Meet the new Warbler, and his Darren Criss dream

It looks like we now have some official confirmation that Grant Gustin is out as Sebastian on “Glee,” because the Warblers have just found their brand-new frontman. Is this guy going to cause the same sort of trouble for Blaine when it comes to romantic life? Since he is straight, it doesn’t look it; however, he does still want something rather important from him.

According to a new report that is coming in via TVLine, a man with a very musical name in Nolan Gerard Funk (who has appeared on such shows as “Warehouse 13” and “Angels in America”) is going to be jumping on board the show for a multi-episode arc as Hunter, the new man in charge of leading the group from Dalton Academy. Not only can he carry a strong singing voice of his own, but he is also going to be working overtime in order to try and convince Blaine to come back to the group that he previously left to audition for New Directions at the start of season 3.

So could Hunter’s plan actually work out? It’s possible, since Blaine alluded to the fact recently that he only made the move to enroll at McKinley High so he could be closer to Kurt, and now he’s gone and nothing is really filling that void in his heart. Granted, it may also be harder to do so now that he has seemingly won the job of senior class president alongside his running mate Sam Evans, which is supposed to include some responsibilities (even if Brittany never took them particularly seriously).

What do you think about this casting, and should Blaine try and re-visit the Warblers now that he no longer has the same reason to stay at McKinley? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below.
