ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: First look at episode 2

On next week’s episode of “Revenge,” it feels as though Emily Thorne is going Biblical when it comes to a new personal philosophy that she is adopting: an eye for an eye. Specifically in this case, we are talking about taking one person away in return for another.

(Warning: the following contains spoilers from the premiere.)

Just when you thought that Victoria being alive and in hiding was going to be the biggest shocker of all from the episode, there was then the revelation of something worse: that she was responsible for taking Emily Thorne’s mother away from here. If there is one thing that we have learned about this character, though, over the past 23 episodes, it is that she is not someone to take an action like this lightly. She is now out for blood, or at least out to kidnap Victoria’s own flesh and blood.

She Emily explains to Nolan in the first promo for Sunday’s episode “Resurrection,” her plans are to take away Victoria’s own daughter, a plot that Nolan claims to be rather “dark, even for [her].” We are not entirely sure that she will succeed in this quest, though, since she does have her trouble still standing in her way: not only is Victoria back, but so is the White-Haired Man ready to enact even more Clint Eastwood-esque fury. And yes, his plan is far more violent than just talking to a chair. Expect some more of this season’s primary guest stars to start turning up soon, including a man from Emily’s past (Barry Sloane) who may end up being a love interest at some point.
