Fuller House season 5 premiere date officially coming this fall

Fuller House

In the event you missed the news earlier this week, it was confirmed that Fuller House has been officially renewed for a fifth season. That’s the good news. The bad news, meanwhile, is that it’s the final season.

Is this going to be the end of the road for the series? More than likely, given that we haven’t heard anything about another network/provider picking it up just yet. While we know that there have been some network/cable shows saved by Netflix, we haven’t really seen the opposite — a linear-television station coming in and saving a show that ended its run on Netflix. We should note that we don’t view this as a “cancellation” and honesty, it’s super-frustrating when TV sites bandy about the word “cancellation.” The difference here is that Fuller House is getting a chance to have some sort of proper ending.

In the event that you haven’t seen the final-season announcement that was put out by Netflix this week, you can see that below. There’s not a lot of super-shocking content in here, though there is a chance to at least see some of the show’s cast members promise that they are saving some of the best for last. If you love all things Fuller House, it does feel clear that there’s a lot to look forward to when it comes to the end of the show. Personally, we think there’s a chance to do a double-wedding with Jimmy & Stephanie and then DJ & Steve. We’re going to probably be stuck on this idea for the near future just because there is so much obvious appeal in the writers going in this direction.

At the end of the video below, Netflix does confirm that the final season will be coming this fall — hopefully, we’ll get some more teases along the way. We’re sure that there will be at least a few notable guest stars, and also a lot of appearances from various people who have come to inhabit the world of Fuller House over the past few years. (There are some other questions we’re pondering about in terms of appearances, but we’ll take some of that on fuller — pun intended — a little bit closer to the show’s actual return.)
