So far this season, you’ve had a chance to see Reddington in court trying to find a way to validate his immunity deal — yet, that has shown itself to be rather difficult. That’s why he has been navigating his way through gen-pop in prison, desperate to find a way to become the top dog. He seems to be in good standing now, but we feel like we’ve watched enough prison-based TV shows at this point (including 60 Days In which we have become completely addicted to) to know that any victory that he achieves here will be short-lived. More than likely, there will be some more setbacks and he’s going to be desperate to get back into the outside world — so desperate in fact that he could be willing to stack the jury in his favor.

Below, CarterMatt has the official The Blacklist season 6 episode 7 synopsis with more news as to what Reddington will do to make that happen:

02/15/2019 (09:00 PM – 10:00 PM) (Friday): While Red (James Spader) and Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) enlist Glenn’s (guest star Clark Middleton) help in stacking the jury to Red’s advantage for his upcoming trial, the Task Force investigates a series of mysterious deaths resulting from weaponized insects. Ken Leung, Becky Ann Baker and Mark Linn-Baker also guest star.

Does anyone else think of The Leftovers now even more than Perfect Strangers when you see Mark Linn-Baker’s name? Just curious. Anyhow, trying to find good jurors probably isn’t going to be the easiest thing in the world for Reddington — who out there is going to be sympathetic to a criminal mastermind? Basically, you’re going to have to find people willing to buy into Reddington’s passion and incredible charisma — we know that he’s got that in spades (pun intended) and it is a huge part of his appeal. He’s able to sell anyone on anything with some elaborate story and a little bit of a sly smile.

Judging from the fact that Leung and Becky Ann Baker are still mentioned in the same synopsis, it’s clear that Reddington will continue to have the same legal opponents within this episode that he has already been battling.
