We’re back with the second part of our Outlander season 4 episode 12 photo preview … and this time it’s a fairly small one. While Starz alreaady released a healthy batch of photos for this past installment of the show, they’re a little bit lighter on them this time around. There are no public images at present of Jamie and Claire, or even Roger — though we did recently share a sneak peek featuring Richard Rankin front and center.

So what do we have going on in this particular photo, the final one released in advance of this episode airing? Think of one that puts the character of Marsali at the center of the action! We’ve seen her come into her own over the past season, as her life has changed tremendously from someone mostly under the influence of Laoghaire to now more of her own person. She’s formed a good relationship with Claire, married Fergus, and started a new life with him in America. The two have found a way to progress forward in Wilmington, though they may still want to be closer to their friends at Fraser’s Ridge.
This episode for Marsali could be the one where all of this growth and development is put to the test as she (alongside Fergus) is a part of a plan to free Murtagh from a rather precarious situation. These two know that he has been captured and his life is on the line; with Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian heading off towards the Mohawk village, there’s really no one else who is capable of saving him. These three are, more or less, the only hope that exists out there, and we imagine that there’s going to be a lot of intrigue that comes with getting a chance to see them trying to defy the odds and bring back Murtagh home to safety.
What we know about Marsali in particular is that she won’t give up — she can be quite tenacious, and in this case, hopefully resourceful. Whatever she is doing here, in between the wagon and its cargo, is likely a part of a well-orchestrated plan. She just has to make sure that she has the right cover story and that she can do everything within her power to ensure she avoids trouble. The more predictable the mission is, the safer everyone will be on the other side.
Do you think that Marsali and Fergus will be success in their plan entering Outlander season 4 episode 12? Be sure to share right now in the attached comments. (Photo: Starz.)
