Outlander season 4 episode 12 photos (part 1): Sophie Skelton & David Berry

This morning Starz released some of the first Outlander season 4 episode 12 photos, and what we get a good sense of here more so than anything else is that Brianna and Lord John Grey are teaming up for one of the season’s most-important missions. The objective? Finding a way for Sophie Skelton’s character to confront Stephen Bonnet about that horrific assault, and to potentially get a little bit of vengeance in the process.

The first photo features David Berry and Skelton together in a place that certainly appears to be rather dark and dimly-lit. If you are to compare this image to some of the others that are out there for this episode, it feels clear that the two are located wherever Bonnet is captive. The look on Lord John’s face is nonetheless one of concern — he is worried about whatever action Brianna is about to take. While the relationship between these two characters is clearly different than what they are presenting to the world, they do still have a rapport and will challenge one another. Lord John cares about Jamie, and by extension, he cares about Bree. We do think that she does have a respect for him, and she certainly understands his value and worth in this the world.

Now, the next question is this: How far are Lord John and Bree willing to go in order to make this confrontation with Bonnet happen?

We find this photo to be particularly interesting, mostly because we don’t see this sort of physical side to Lord John altogether often these days. He’s more of a political mover-and-shaker rather than a fighter, so what inspires this should be interesting to see — including whether or not it is tied to Brianna’s quest in any way.

Finally, we have this image, which feels like the most overt reminder that Brianna is actually located within some sort of jail. You clearly see some bars in the background, so she is wandering through this particular location with a specific purpose in mind. If she does get to confront Bonnet, the question that comes after this is what she decides to do. If she wants revenge, she may have an opportunity to enact that. Yet, will revenge really help her heal? Is this something that will help her sleep at night? All of this contributes to why this upcoming episode may be the most fascinating of the season.
