Blindspot season 4 episode 9 video: How to bring Jane back
For starters, there’s the showdown between Remi and Weller in the field, otherwise known as the very thing that was teased at the end of the fall finale. To the surprise of virtually no one, both of them will emerge out of that situation alive. The larger question that comes from that is whether or not there’s going to be a way to bring Jane back on the other side. How do you get back a part of someone that seems to be gone forever? It feels like an impossible task, but much of the winter premiere could be about that very thing.
The new sneak peek below, via TVInsider, offers up at least a little bit of insight on this subject. In this preview, you’ve got an opportunity to really dive in and experience the process that is being undertaken in order to see if Jane can be brought back. It involves engaging in a risky procedure to basically jump the character from the Remi side of her brain back to Jane. There was a metaphorical wall that was established way back when, and that is something that is holding the character back in a fairly-significant way and keeping her from being the person that the FBI knows and cares for.
We shouldn’t even have to say that this procedure is risky given that the results could be catastrophic. If something goes awry here it’s possible that Jane could never come back, but Weller and others seem to feel like it’s worth the risk. Of course, we also do think they are aware of the fact that having Remi around is so dangerous that this is not a situation they can be okay with long-term. It’s either they find a way to bring Jane back into the fold or just keep Remi prisoner somehow … which seems to be a dangerous idea given her skill set.
This episode, no matter what happens, should kick off a really-exciting second half of the season, one stuffed full of big twists and interesting revelations. We do think that it’s time to get Jane back, but the story also has to be right in order for it to happen as it should.
