It’s well-documented what the state of things are entering the new season. After all, Elizabeth Keen knows the truth about Reddington being an imposter, and that the man who she has thought of as her father throughout the better part of the past year or so is not actually so. With that in mind, much of the story moving forward could be about her doing whatever she deems necessarily in order to ensure that she gets the truth.

Remember what Liz did back in the 100th episode? We like to think that this is proof that this is not the Liz Keen of old. That’s perhaps a bad thing when it comes to the state of her soul, but for the sake of her new mission, it’s probably a good thing that she will do anything and everything to get answers to the big Reddington mystery.

In speaking a little bit more on this particular subject to TVInsider, here is a little bit more of what series star Megan Boone had to say on the subject:

“[The] line between what’s right and what’s wrong has become blurred … She now believes what’s morally correct can sometimes be sacrificed for the greater good. Her means to execute justice have definitely gotten darker and somewhat more desperate.”

Liz really has to be desperate now moving into the next few episodes, largely because she is likely very aware of her present situation. She’s in a spot now where she has to figure out, for starters, how to keep this information from Reddington before he figures out that she knows the truth about him. That’s possibly a ticking time bomb, since there’s only so much time before the inevitable occurs. She also probably needs to have some sort of contingency plan in the event that he does find out the truth, mostly so that if things go awry, she doesn’t find herself in a terrible spot. Since we don’t really know the truth about Reddington, that raises many questions about what he’s capable of.
