Agents of SHIELD season 6: Could we get a promo soon?
After all, ABC has been rather coy sharing just about anything related to the return of the superhero series — to date, one of the biggest things that we’ve had a chance to see is Daisy Johnson a.k.a. Quake’s new look. In a way, we get it — new episodes are not premiering on the network until the summer and because of that, there’s really no reason for the network to hurry things along. They’ve got all the time in the world to promote this and Marvel collaborations are usually pretty quiet on the spoiler front in general.
Yet, you really should know that apparently, there are some promos being designed behind the scenes already. In a recent post on Twitter, series star Ming-Na Wen confirmed this by saying that she recently saw an “epic” promo for the new season that should make everyone really excited. There are certainly many different mysteries at the heart of this new season, whether it be the status of one Phil Coulson or how SHIELD is operating in the aftermath of the next Avengers movie. Given the timing of their premieres, we have to imagine that at least some of this season, if not most of it, will take place after the movie. We are expecting some new adversaries, some exciting reveals, but above all else some fascinating comic-book drama. In the summer, Agents of SHIELD does have a fantastic opportunity to dominate the market.
While you do have to wait for some time to watch these new episodes, there is one thing to keep you satisfied: The fact that there is already a season 7 renewal out there. There’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the long-term future, and this is really one of the first times that we’ve been ever really able to say that when it comes to this show. The vast majority of time, we’re forced more to look over our shoulder for possible cancellation news.
Let’s face it: Agents of SHIELD has not been a particularly high-rated show for some time. Yet, it is one of the strongest shows of its kind out there and we are grateful that ABC still has it around. Now, we just have to wait for the new season to premiere so we can start buzzing with excitement and speculation as to where things could go moving into the future.
