Is Midnight, Texas new tonight on NBC? A new schedule change

Midnight, Texas season 2

Is Midnight, Texas new tonight on NBC? Let’s just say that there is a reason for some confusion right now on the show…

At this point last week, it looked fairly clear that there was going to be a new episode coming on the air — one entitled “Drown the Sadness in Chardonnay.” Unfortunately, that plan has sense changed. That episode is going to be pushed back a week and will air on November 30, which means some of the rest of the schedule has shifted, as well. The final episode of the season (and possibly the series, depending on what NBC decides) is going to be coming on the air following the Christmas holiday, but still prior to The Blacklist premiering in early January.

As for whether or not it’s a good thing that the series is taking a brief hiatus here, the one major benefit of doing this is that it means that “Drown the Sadness in Chardonnay.” Could actually deliver some slightly-better ratings than it would be getting otherwise. After all, if the series was coming on the air tonight it would have to contend with Black Friday … and also potentially a rather-large legion of exhausted shoppers. There are also people traveling today and the ratings would have been a mess. There’s a reason most networks opt to not air new episodes right after Thanksgiving.

Just so that you’ve got a larger sense of what’s coming — at least in the event that you haven’t heard already — we suggest that you take a look at some Midnight, Texas season 2 episode synopses below.

Season 2 episode 5, “Drown the Sadness in Chardonnay” – 11/30/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : Lem makes a shocking decision. Olivia’s past comes back to haunt her. Fiji seeks outside help from her fellow Light Witches. A suicide pits Manfred and Kai against one another. TV-14 L, S, V.

Season 2 episode 6, “No More Mr. Nice Kai” – 12/07/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : An unknown force threatens to reveal all the Midnighters’ secrets. Manfred’s suspicion towards Kai intensifies. Fiji embraces Dark Magic to save Bobo once and for all. TV-14 S, V.

By the end of these two episodes, we’ve got a good feeling that we will know and understand more about where the series is going to go as we build towards the finale. The stage will be set more, and hopefully, we’re going to have a chance for a little more craziness. (How many shows out there are as inventive or as fun with their storytelling as this one?)
