Supergirl season 4 episode 6 spoilers: Kara’s difficult Thanksgiving

There are a number of things to appreciate about Supergirl season 4 episode 6, and many of them start with this: It’s the Thanksgiving episode. Typically, this is an opportunity to see families be happy and celebrate with each other; however, with this particular show it’s a little more complicated than that. There’s a larger threat that serves as a distraction, and for now, that threat is Agent Liberty. He’s going to fight against Kara in a different way than any other villain. Not all of it is physical; instead, some of what he’s doing is psychological with his ability to influence others.

THANKSGIVING – Everyone gathers for Thanksgiving but Kara (Melissa Benoist) is feeling down after her televised debate with Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) about the anti-alien sentiment coursing through National City. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) and Lena (Katie McGrath) argue about the best way to handle the Children of Liberty. Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Daniel Beaty (#406). Original airdate 11/18/2018.

This is an episode that could end up escalating the Agent Liberty crisis in National City to new heights, and that’s something to watch out and worry for many weeks to come. The more that this guy turns all of the city against Supergirl, the harder it is going to be for her to do her job. For starters, not all of them may want her help; even worse, some may actively work against her when she’s out in the field. She doesn’t want to hurt innocent people, so by the midway point of this season we could see this characters facing many difficult choices.
