Blue Bloods season 9 episode 6 sneak peek: What’s happening with Henry?

Blue Bloods season 9

Blue Bloods season 9 episode 6 will be coming your way on CBS tonight, and it looks like Henry Reagan will be a part of the story. Or, at least he will be a major part in the weekly family-dinner discussion.

As you can see in the new sneak peek for this episode, Henry gets upset at some of the rest of the family over their attitude towards dinner — which apparently contains a good bit of fried food. It’s not the typical family-dinner fare, and it’s probably not the healthiest in the world; yet, Henry tells them that it is important not to take advantage of what they have here. Many people would be happy to have anything, and he was reminded of this after paying a visit to a nursing home recently. While there, he seemingly remembered that some of these people are not getting anywhere near the same level of home-cooked meals.

Is there something larger going on here with Henry beyond what he says? We do worry about it, but you could just read this entire scene as him just wondering about his own mortality rather than this being some sort of sign that he’s in especially poor health. This is a man who is late in his life, and he’s been around long enough to understand what matters and doesn’t matter. To him, the idea of fussing over food is not something that he’s going to be down with. He’s grateful to still have somewhat of a good life at his age and to have opportunities to do a number of different things.

Of course, we do hope that there are some larger stories coming up soon for Henry and some other characters; yet, we are more than happy to have what we do from him right now. In our review tonight, we’ll absolutely take a larger look at precisely what is going on with him.
