Gotham season 5 spoilers: Jaime Murray cast in important role
According to a new report coming in now via Deadline, the former Dexter and Once Upon a Time actress is going to be coming on board the story in the role of Theresa Walker. What we know about her is that she is a prominent foe of Jim Gordon’s in the upcoming episodes — but unfortunately, we don’t really know too much more than that. It’s possible that Theresa Walker is a code-name and this turns out to be a different character altogether; or, this could just be a creation when it comes to the show.
What we’ve certainly come to learn when it comes to Gotham over the years is simply the fact that it takes its cues from Batman, but doesn’t just rely solely on the material. There are enough holes in Gordon’s history so there to be some other interesting reveals when it comes to this character still.
We certainly do know when it comes to Murray that she has a great ability to play a wide array of different people — especially ones with wicked intentions. If she’s someone in opposition with Gordon, it’s easy to imagine that she’s got some bad motives for whatever she is doing. She could be a villain with a nod to classic comics, or she could be some sort of threat within the GCPD or Gotham’s government as a whole. That’s something that will probably sort itself out over time, and we’re excited to see that play out.
As for more traditional villains, we know that we’re going to see a roster of familiar favorites including Hugo Strange, Jeremiah, Bane, and of course some familiar faces including the likes of Penguin, Catwoman, and many others. This is a season that is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
