Outlander notes: Sam Heughan on Jamie’s story; more fun with Caitriona Balfe

Outlander season 4

Welcome to another Saturday edition of Outlander notes; given that this is the weekend, why not have some fun?

Want to watch a recent Outlander video from the CarterMatt team? – Then be sure to look below! Remember that if you like this and want to get more updates, subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube! We also have an Outlander-related playlist with some other information.

Let’s kick things off here with a new interview featuring Sam Heughan (via Leanne Aguilera of Entertainment Tonight) where he discusses a little bit of what’s coming for Jamie this season. In his eyes, he describes this season as being one about “home.” He also discussed going to North Carolina before the start of season 4 filming and how producers are really working their hardest in order to ensure that Scotland serves as the perfect mirror. He also discusses Fraser’s Ridge, the relationship between Jamie and Claire, and also the changes that are going to come for Young Ian this season.

While we know there are a lot of Heughan interviews out there discussing season 4 already, this one hits a few notes that you may not see entirely elsewhere. That’s what makes it such a worthwhile watch when the dust settles.

As for the second video we have to share from elsewhere, take a look at Sam and Caitriona Balfe playing a version of “Never Have I Ever” via E! News, who was also on the set earlier this summer. There are many a laugh that come out of this, and you really get a good sense that they have a lot of fun together on set. Sure, they are doing really serious work and that means that they have to focus in much of the time, but they are finding room for some lighthearted moments here and there along the way.

Also, in this video you learn about kissing scenes, mints, and how much drinking actually happens on set during scenes.
