Outlander notes: More on Young Ian, Jamie, and Claire
To the credit of Starz, they have continually found some ways to get a lot of promotional material out there for what lies ahead, whether it be teasers, photos, interviews, and more. The latest example of this comes within the two videos that we have to share today.

Let’s begin here with the new video featuring Young Ian, who actually gets featured in terms of his own story. While we’re certainly not complaining about much of the Ian/Rollo content we’ve gotten over the past few weeks, so much of it has just revolved around how much Ian loves his new companion. Very little of it has related to his story this season. The new video changes that, as it documents his desire to set out and have his own adventure. He still loves his family, but there’s a determination here to prove that he is more than just a kid. He wants to step out and make more of an actual name for himself in the world, which we totally understand.

Meanwhile, the second video is a complete, embedded version of the behind-the-scenes clip we discussed yesterday, one that features Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe discussing the story of Jamie and Claire within America. This maps out thematically some of what is coming, while also giving you a good sense of the relationship between the two characters.
The final takeaway for either video is the same: We’ve got an epic season coming up starting early next month.
