Outlander season 4 video: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, cast talk home
In the new video below, you can see Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, John Bell, Caitriona Balfe, Richard Rankin, and more (including series newcomer Maria Doyle Kennedy) speak out about the concept of hope and what that means to them. For some, being in Scotland filming Outlander really is hope — after all, Heughan hails from this particular part of the world and many other actors (including Rankin) have similar roots. Meanwhile, others are traveling a little bit further from home to do this series — in the case of Balfe, she’s traveled so much due to her modeling career that she has become used to the idea of going constantly from one place to the next. She may actually feel like there is a sense of home that comes from travel.

No matter where these actors are from, though, they all do have a collective home together now working on the Starz series. It’s a place that they can go back to and work on episodes together for a good percentage of the year. Some of these actors, especially Sam and Caitriona, have been there from the beginning. Others, meanwhile, are growing more comfortable with each passing day. Rankin and Skelton are going to almost be savvy series veterans entering season 5 production next year!
As the show moves forward, we do anticipate that there are some more family members who will be welcomed to this home. After all, there are progressively a number of new faces we are going to get a chance to meet along the way.
You’ll get a chance to see some of these Outlander actors be welcomed into their new home when season 4 officially premieres on November 4.
