Bull season 3: Five things that we want to see in the weeks to come

Bull season 3 episode 1

As we are approaching the Bull season 3 premiere, what are some of the things that we want to see for the story as a whole? That’s what this article is all about! (To go along with it, we’ve also got a video below with some more speculation — to get some other updates, be sure to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube.)

For those of you who are especially worried of spoilers, have no fear — the point of this article isn’t to give anything away. Rather, this is all about just giving you some suggestions for what you should be prepared to see moving forward.

A different Bull – At the end of the second season, Michael Weatherly’s character had a heart attack. That’s not the sort of thing that you can walk back altogether easily, and Bull really shouldn’t. We want to see this character constantly taking stock in what happened to him, and also who he wants to be moving forward. With that in mind, let’s hope that there are some opportunities coming up to see him thinking about that and taking his condition seriously — also, his cardiac event could give him a better perspective on cases where other lives are in danger.

A new love interest – It makes some sense for the series to really dive in and explore this idea a little bit at this point, especially with the notion that Bull isn’t particularly good alone in mind. What could he contribute to a relationship at this point?

More personal cases – We saw that here and there in season 2 with either cases involving supporting characters, or ones that became important to them over time. Bull should continue to embrace that since it better informs the people who work on TAC. The more we get of this, the better.

A new “hacker” character who is interesting – We know that Cable is leaving the series this year and, to go along with it, we’re also going to be getting a chance to see someone new enter the team in Taylor who has a very different perspective. Read more about that over here. We want this character to be almost the opposite of Cable in ways and with that, we want the writers to embrace it.

A significant rival – We’ve seen great ones who appear here and there, but what about having a character turn up for longer than just an episode or two? Why not have someone who really is a legal challenge for Bull on at least four or five occasions?
