Shameless season 9 episode 2 video: Ian makes bail; Debbie protests
After spending most of the premiere episode behind bars, the characters gets some great news in episode 2: He’s made bail. With that, he can go back into the real world … where he faces a number of people who are convinced he is Gay Jesus. This has been a somewhat-polarizing storyline, but we are very curious to see what the transition from isolation to super-popularity looks like for Ian. It’s going to be overwhelming, but what is he going to do about it? He has a little bit of control over what he wants to do, but he may not be able to control the thoughts of this many people, especially when they are supporting a cause that they feel at this point is so much bigger than any of them.
As for what else is coming in this episode, be prepared to see Frank continue to do what he can to start a political movement — one that may be the most Frank thing ever since really, all he’s going to do is get himself in more trouble. This is a man who never quote knows when the right time is for him to stop. Meanwhile, you are also going to have a chance here in order to see what happens when Fiona tries to get more into commercial real estate, even though Ford doubts whether or not she is going to be able to.
Debbie, meanwhile, is going to be off leading a protest for gender equality — she’s working an industry that is dominated by men, and we have a feeling that this, unfortunately, is going to be an uphill battle for her.
