Big Brother 20 episode 27 review: Faysal’s big blindside

Faysal

Tonight, Big Brother 20 episode 27 delivered a number of entertaining things, including a Head of Household Competition that was a little more amusing than we imagined it would be. We still don’t like the inherent unfairness of a competition where people can hand out tokens willy-nilly. Still, this was entertaining and it was edited together fairly well. Angela won and really, Haleigh never was all that close to being on her level. She really needed to win this in order to ensure that nothing else happened this week. Unfortunately for her, she had no such luck.

The rest of the episode tonight was really just themed around one thing more so than anything else — watching Faysal get ridiculously blindsided. He was so oblivious to what was really going on; even Haleigh was a million times more aware than him.

Angela is right in that it’s not ideal for her to be HoH this week, since she did have to make a move against people she aligned herself with previously. Yet, sometimes you have to do what you have to do and this move looks even smarter when you consider that the Battle Back will bring back at least one former member of The Hive back into the game.

Angela’s speech, by the way, was pretty solid, making it clear that the alliance with Faysal and Haleigh was a day late and a dollar short. She’s still not getting jury votes from them, but she could’ve been way meaner.

As for some other notable odds and ends, tonight gave you more confirmation that Tangela (Tyler / Angela) is kind of a thing, at least in that the two have at least some feelings for each other. That doesn’t mean that they are a full-blown showmance. Yet, it’s fairly close to that. Meanwhile, apparently JC is trying to secretly fatten everyone up in the game, and is trying to establish himself as some sort of mustache-twirling double agent in the game. The reality here is that he is Tyler’s puppet and he just doesn’t realize it … and we’re also not sure that he will ever realize it before he finds himself heading out the door.
