Tonight, Big Brother 20 brought back one of our personal favorites: OTEV. After all, there’s something fun about this competition with its ridiculous physicality and some random creature who is suffering some sort of trauma.
To be specific, tonight’s version of OTEV featured a sneezing skunk with a terrible odor who needed a little bit of help — basically, the most high-brow thing that CBS could possibly think of. One of the most shocking parts of this challenge is Rockstar apparently helping Tyler at one point, which made him winning in the end all the more embarrassing. She basically shot herself in the foot … and did so again later when she got the wrong answer on the final question. Tyler beat her, won the Veto, and then later on took Angela off the block. Now, Kaycee is back up there, but it doesn’t appear as though the odds are high that she will be going home.
This was not a great episode for Rockstar in particular, as she acted out on Kaycee earlier in the episode mostly because she was upset about going on the block. Kaycee, of course was lying about having the Hacker Comp, but still. This was far from Rockstar’s best episode, and it’s a pretty terrible week for her as a whole given that she’s also probably going home in the end. (We do enjoy Faysal comparing The Hive to the Bad News Bears … we’re honestly surprised that he even knows that reference.)
From an entertainment standpoint, though, all of this pretty great — it’s fantastic Big Brother to manage to create great drama out of a giant talking skunk, and to introduce a twist that could allow one of Haleigh’s biggest allies to actually go home during her own reign as Head of Household.
Overall, this episode of Big Brother 20 proved to be a total mess … but an entertaining one. We like that OTEV was so entertaining and had a number of twists and turns to it; also, Rockstar does go down in the history books.
