Chesapeake Shores season 3 episode 3 preview, early ratings

What lies ahead on Chesapeake Shores season 3 episode 3? Let’s just say that much of it starts with a character possibly going away. Trace has to think about what his future is going to hold after potentially going away from Abby and much of her family. This basically means that we’re at a time when certain decisions need to be made. Will Abby offer an alternative, or will the two think of a creative way in which to make the relationship work? Based on some of the early information that we’ve got on the subject, that certainly does seem possible. (After the promo below, there is a longer sneak peek that gives you more insight.)

Below, the Chesapeake Shores season 3 episode 3 synopsis offers up a few details about the series … but it’s also not so substantial that it gives anything major away:

How are the ratings? – While we are still fairly early on in the series’ run, we can still tell you that the numbers to date are at least somewhat solid. The premiere episode earlier this month drew almost 1.7 million viewers, which is a number pretty close to the season 2 average for the series. If that continues, there’s no reason to think that the series will end prior to a fourth season down the road.

The appeal for the Hallmark Channel remains pretty clear. They have a knack for finding consistent, solid dramas that have a devoted following and memorable characters. Also, they’re self-starters in that they don’t have to be promoted extensively in order to do well. These are the sort of profitable shows that many other networks would ultimately love to have in the end.
