If there’s one thing that we have learned over the past several years, it’s this: People love hearing what actors keep from a show’s set after they are done filming. It’s just one of those things that always gets discussed!
For this particular article, we are speaking about Game of Thrones and actress Maisie Williams, who appeared on the show as Arya Stark for many years and certainly has a loyal legion of fans as a result. Speaking in a new interview on BBC Radio 1, she made it clear that she wanted to bring with her a certain article of clothing in a jacket she wore as her character:
“I can imagine [keeping the jacket] being something that I’m like, ‘Oh, I was on this show once upon a time and this was the jacket I wore,’ and my grandkids [down the road] being like, ‘Please stop.”
We do think that there are a lot of different props and items that will end up in museums at some point, just as we think there are also going to be a number of auctioned-off items, as well. This tends to be what happens following the success of the series. While we know that Game of Thrones is going to be followed by a prequel (at least if it gets ordered to series), at the same time it is set so far in the past that we’re not sure just how many sets from the original series are still going to be there.
Game of Thrones season 8 is going to be premiering on HBO in the first half of 2019, but as of now, there isn’t too much information when it comes to the six episodes ahead. We know that they will be epic; after all, the series already filmed the lengthiest battle scene in the history of television.
