Unforgotten season 3 episode 5 preview: Will Peter Carr return?

Unforgotten season 3

Moving into Unforgotten season 3 episode 5 airing next week, there are many questions to ponder — especially when it comes to Peter Carr.

Coming out of tonight’s episode, the character’s fate appears to be very much up in the air after he was stabbed outside with nobody around. The final scene was of him bleeding out, but with endings like these, we do also still think that there’s a reasonably good chance someone could discover him in time.

Of course, the irony certainly is not lost on us that he is potentially dying right after a press conference by the police in which people were encouraged to leave him alone and not cause any sort of harm towards him. Yet, this may have been too little, too late — and much of the anger and resolve was already very much there.

If Pete is dead, does this officially remove him as a suspect in the Hayley case? You gotta think so, but you also have to think that there could be a larger conspiracy going on here and not everything may be altogether clear on that right now. It’s possible that someone else ordered a hit on him because of information he knew and this is something that the series is likely going to unravel over the coming episodes.

Beyond that, there are also theories aplenty regarding the Hayley case, with one of the more intriguing ones being about her really swapping places with her sister. Another theory is that the sister could’ve been involved. There really isn’t that much of this story left but the producers have done a good job of getting us to look in just about every possible direction for the guilty party.
