The Sinner season 2 episode 2 preview: Julian’s history

Going into The Sinner season 2 episode 2 on USA, be prepared to see Ambrose and Heather doing as much background research as they can. In the premiere, you are going to be introduced to a young boy named Julian, someone who is accused of poisoning his parents after spending some time with them at a motel. However, there is something rather unusual about the case: It doesn’t seem like these parents exhibited a lot of care for the boy. There are a number of dark secrets about the family’s past and we are really just scratching the surface all about them.

As we move further into episode 2, the next order of business is clearly going to be trying to get more evidence as to precisely where Julian came from, and what led to him being in the place that he was at a time in which some of these truly-terrible thigns started to happen.

Ambrose and Heather begin to unravel where Julian is from, as Julian is thrust into a new world.

What is this new world he is a part of? Odds are, it’s a reference either to the investigation that Ambrose and the rest of the team is working to resolve — or, it’s the world set up and led by Carrie Coon’s Vera, who is desperate to help her. She’s got her own secrets, but remains convinced that she has the know-how and the teachings in order to help him through his time of crisis. Everyone has their own motivates and not all of them are going to be clear; Vera in particular feels like someone to watch, and not just because Carrie Coon is a phenomenal actress capable of just about anything.
