Welcome to another morning edition of CarterMatt Outlander notes! We have a couple of different things to get to in this particular article, but we’ll start with what has been a rather ongoing trend as of late: Another Sam Heughan interview!
This time, the interview featuring Sam took place on New York Live, so it is probably one of the few ones that he has done that may not have aired in your neck of the woods. It’s a reasonably-short interview, but in it he discusses The Spy Who Dumped Me, getting to travel all over Europe to do the film, Outlander season 4, and of course his next project in Bloodshot, which will be filming before long in South Africa.
We do think that if you’ve seen some of the other Sam interviews that are out there already, odds are that you’ve seen most of these questions asked. That is one of the challenges that comes with an extensive press tour, especially when so many interviews are of the short, TV interview format. This is why our dream scenario here is to see Sam do some more podcasts in the future, mostly because getting to hear him, unfiltered, in an hour-long discussion would be a welcome change of pace.
If you love Sam, though, you’re likely going to be more that grateful for every single interview you get.

Teaser success – This teaser, at least so far, has shown to be very successful when it comes to views. In terms of YouTube alone, the ET version and the Starz upload have generated over 100,000 views in just over 36 hours. Meanwhile, on Facebook it has been viewed more than 1.6 million times — an impressive total! It’s a little harder to track Twitter viewership, as the company does not make that sort of stuff available.
As always, we do of course welcome your thoughts on this story below! Meanwhile, remember that you can like CarterMatt on Facebook so that you ensure that you don’t miss too many other updates when it comes to the Starz series. (Photo: Starz.)
