Timeless: Abigail Spencer, cast, producers react to two-hour finale

Timeless season 2

At the moment, we imagine that everyone is feeling rather pleased that the Save Timeless campaign has proven itself to be fruitful once again.

Earlier this morning, it was announced that NBC is ordering a two-hour finale (airing over the holiday season) as a way to offer closure to fans who loved the show so much. As we explain both in the article here and the video below (subscribe to get more Timeless videos our YouTube Channel), we of course would have loved to get a full third season somewhere. Yet, that didn’t seem to be feasible, and the best thing we could get was some sort of proper farewell back at the network that aired the first two seasons. We’re approaching this as the end of the series, but who knows what the future holds? Keep campaigning to get more viewers on board the show and maybe the finale will deliver a larger viewership than expected.

When it comes to this CarterMatt article, the biggest goal that we have is sharing some reaction from the cast and producers — basically, the people who have been on the receiving end of so much love over the course of the past few months. They’ve been there with the cancellation of the show, but also with many of the fans’ campaign, including the helicopter banner that flew over San Diego. Malcolm Barrett (Rufus) was in attendance at the convention and greeted some of the fans after the fact.

All in all, we consider this a joyous day and we have immense gratitude for Sony and the show’s producers who fought really hard to make sure that at least some sort of proper ending was possible. Now know that there’s a chance the story can end with Rufus saved once and for all.
