For those of you who love Hawaii Five-0 and two of its leads, we’ve got great news — Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan are back!
In a new post on Instagram, show executive producer Peter M. Lenkov offered up a quite picture of the two actors, who started to film on Monday. Production actually started on episode 3 (the series is filming out of order at the moment) last week, but obviously the show spent the first few days on scenes featuring some of the other characters.
So what could be coming for Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams this season? Presumably, there’s quite a bit of cool stuff that may be on the way! We’ve got the two guys presumably still doing what they do best out solving cases, but there’s also potentially still the restaurant subplot that really accelerated into high gear last season. It would be great to see Hawaii Five-0 continue to find some great ways in which to keep that story going as comedic relief, while also not taking away from the show’s bread and butter.
As exciting as it is to see Alex and Scott, we also cannot ignore the fact that the two are standing in what appears to be a hospital. Hopefully, this doesn’t mean that one of our favorite characters is in some real danger! (The last thing that we need is a reason to freak out about one of our favorites.)
As for a bonus picture, Lenkov also shared via Instagram a tease of a former NFL player who will be stopping by for a cameo in this episode. We’re not a football superfan, so we don’t recognize who he is based on first glance. Yet, maybe some diehard NFL fans out there will!
Remember, Hawaii Five-0 season 9 is going to premiere on CBS come Friday, September 28 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
