Code Black season 3 episode 11: Rox’s life is in danger

Code Black season 3 episode 11

Next Wednesday things are about to get intense again on CBS’s Code Black when Rox will be fighting for her life. In the promo for next week’s episode, it is revealed that Rox was involved in a hit and run, in which Rox was hit. As we see in the promo she is brought to Angels Memorial and is clearly in bad shape. She’s in shock and what appear to be injuries to her head and we can guess she had injuries elsewhere on her body.

One thing was clear in the promo, and that’s that Ethan is by her side. We know that their relationship has been strained ever since Rox discovered Ethan’s reason for being in plagued by the memory of his dead brother. Since her discovery, Rox has been trying to show support and help Ethan during this difficult time; however, Ethan wants nothing to do with her. As a result, he pushes her away. At the end of this past episode, Rox decided enough was enough and effectively ended her partnership with Ethan. So we can assume that when Rox is hit, she and Ethan aren’t exactly speaking or if they are it’s minimal. However, despite ending their ride-along partnership, the promo hints at the possibility that Ethan was present when the incident occurred. In the promo, Ethan appears to be helping a patient into the ambulance, and when he turns around see Rox on the ground wounded. It’s clear that Ethan is worried and will do anything to save her after he tells her they are going to “do this together.”

This pegs the question: will this be the moment the pair admit their feelings for each other? It certainly feels like something will happen between the two. If nothing else it would help the pair reconcile their strained relationship. The event might even convince Ethan to open up to Rox about this struggles, which would move their relationship forward.

We don’t believe Rox will die, but then again this show is known for throwing the curveballs like killing of Dr. Heather Pinkney and Max. Personally, we hope that she lives through this because he storyline isn’t over for us. There’s so much the writers could do with Rox and we have loved the addition of this character. She’s brought a lot more to the show and has added the ride-along concept that opened up more stories to tell. So here’s hoping Rox lives.
