Dietland episode 6 preview: Plum’s identity crisis

Moving into Dietland episode 6, who is Plum, really? That’s one question that she may be asking herself after all that’s happened. Over the course of episode 5 she was mistreated, mocked, and ultimately fired by Kitty. She is not in a good place moving forward and next week in particular, we could see her on a journey to figure herself out and what she really wants to be in the future. Our concern is that everything that she’s going through could cause her to push forward towards Jennifer, a group that she previously didn’t want anything to do with — she’s just starting to become so distraught and mistreated that on some level, it may make some sense for her to want to try to take a little bit of her power back. This organization does present some sort of opportunity to do that — even if they are dangerous and/or destructive in the process.

As in-depth as the episode that aired tonight really was, the Dietland episode 6 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below doesn’t really offer up all that much:

Beaten up and distraught, Plum seeks refuge in Calliope House, fighting to come to terms with who she really is.

On paper, what we’re looking at episode 6 as is a valuable transition between what the show has been and what it’s going to be — the same goes for Plum. This marks a great opportunity for her to reshape her life in the wake of everything that happened with being betrayed and mistreated, and Calliope House will over her up some opportunities. Are they the best opportunities for her? That’s something that this episode may explore and beyond that, we start to look more towards the home stretch of the season. We’ll keep rooting for her, just because we know that at her core, love and acceptance is a part of her belief system. We just worry about what she could be pushed to do in the process.
