Jersey Shore star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino’s sentencing pushed back
According to a report from the New York Post, The Situation’s sentencing in his tax evasion case has been pushed back to September 7. Jersey Shore Family Vacation season 2 is currently filming in Las Vegas, but it will be done well before this particular date. Sorrentino could spend as much as five years in prison depending on what the judge decides.
On this current season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, we have seen a very different side of the reality star than the one we did many years ago. This is a guy who was at one point known for drinking, hooking up, and partying with just about everyone he came into close contact with. However, he has been sober for well over two years and is engaged to his longtime girlfriend. Many of his fellow cast members have commented on this over the course of this season. As for whether or not any of this has a role to play in sentencing, that is something that we will have to figure out over time. Depending on how long he is sentenced to prison, it is possible that the second Jersey Shore Family Vacation season is the last one that you see Mike in for a long time. Given that he is one of the biggest stars of this series, it feels pretty darn clear that this would be a big loss for the show.
New episodes of the first season, set in Miami, is going to air new episodes Thursday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.
