HBO’s Cord and Tish present Royal Wedding hilariousness

As most everyone out there probably knows, the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle happened earlier this morning. What many people may not have realized, however, is that Cord (Will Ferrell) and Tish (Molly Shannon) were present in order to give commentary for HBO. It was, in a word, ridiculous. Another word? Hilarious. Over the course of the broadcast we learned that Cord is deathly afraid of horses, that he got a little too excited announcing the wedding before it actually happened, and Manfred the basset hound has a really sweet outfit.

If you missed some of the highlights, you can check them out below! It was a pretty funny event and more than anything else, it served as a really great reminder that we don’t have to take everything in the world so seriously. Why should we? They’re funny without being intrusive or ruining the experience for anyone.

This is not the first rodeo for Cord and Tish on the air offering commentary for a major event, as the two previously did this for Amazon back during the Rose Parade at the start of the year. The response to that was pretty hysterical, largely because it felt like many Amazon users didn’t actually know that they were watching a parody broadcast and were quick to rip them to shreds in the reviews. This time around, we like to think that there were some more people in on the joke than there was previously.

Just in case you missed the preliminary broadcast early today (which we understand), don’t worry — it will be replayed later tonight on the network for your enjoyment. Or, if you want some other Royal Wedding coverage, you can look pretty much anywhere on order to get it. Coverage of this event is probably going to be fairly inescapable over the next several days. That’s the way it certainly was leading up to it!
