Nashville season 6 episode 9 spoilers: Juliette’s recovery and more
Moving into the second half of the final season, it does feel like recovery is at the top of the list, and for good reason when you think about some of what these characters have gone through. For Will, his life is on the line after collapsing at the end of the midseason finale; meanwhile, for Deacon he has to find a way to see if there is going to be a way to fix things for himself and Jessie. He’s just in an impossible situation there and Brad is making it so much worse.
Meanwhile, for Juliette and Maddie they are both being caught up in some very unhealthy environments — Juliette has been involved with a cult that is stranding her from much of the world. While Maddie’s situation may not have religious undertones to it, there is something about the celebrity world that can have a similar effect. This is something she will have to sift through in order to make sure that she doesn’t lose herself.
Below, the Nashville season 6 episode 9 synopsis (via SpoilerTV) offers up some additional news when it comes to what lies ahead:
After his collapse while performing at the late night show, Will recovers in the hospital and frets about his future. Brad gets a restraining order against Deacon, fueling conflict between Deacon and Jessie. The media get wind of Juliette’s extended stay in South America and begin harassing Avery about it. Maddie gets caught up in the fast lane lifestyle of Jonah Ford.
There are still eight episodes left in the series, and while we would like to say that the situation for Juliette and many other characters is going to improve we absolutely know better in some ways. There are no guarantees with this sort of world! Nashville has long been a show about bittersweet success and we absolutely do not think that is going to change just because things are winding down. Expect more drama, but with a few glimmers of hope along the way.
