Arrow season 7 premiere date hopes; what lies ahead
It feels right to kick things off here by reminding you that of course, Arrow is coming back for a season 7. It feels almost like a sure thing year after year, but this is the world of television! So many good shows go the way of the dodo every single year and you never want to take anything for granted. Arrow has so far survived a number of cast changes and time slot changes, so you do have to be grateful that it is still a strong part of the lineup and that it continues to be.
In terms of a specific Arrow season 7 premiere date, as of right now the CW has not announced anything 100%. However, they have released a full fall schedule that reveals that Arrow season 7 will be airing on Monday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern time, following new episode of DCs Legends of Tomorrow. This is a change from this current season, where the show is airing on Thursday nights following Supernatural. Why the change? The easiest way to answer that is just by saying that The CW struggled with the Monday night timeslot mentioned earlier for many years. In putting Arrow in that spot, the network may think that they have found a new hit to help make their schedule a little bit more stable across the board.
There are some major changes coming via the story of Arrow season 7, starting unfortunately with the fact that Paul Blackthorne will no longer be in the cast. His exit was first announced a number of weeks ago, and he is actually joining a new show entitled The InBetween airing over on NBC. Meanwhile, Willa Holland departed earlier this season, and it was announced a while back that Colton Haynes will be returning to the series in the form of Roy Harper. As for how that character comes back and Thea Queen does not, that’s a very good question and something that the network will have to work to resolve in the new season.
Oh, and there is one other announcement that really has us jazzed up at this particular moment. If you missed it, earlier today Stephen Amell announced that the upcoming arrowverse crossover is going to feature Batwoman front-and-center. Batwoman is of course a pretty iconic character within the DC Universe, and we are curious to see if this appearance leads to a solo series.
In focusing on Arrow season 7, we are turning this over to you. When do you want the premiere date to be? Let us know right now in the attached comments.
