The CW 2018 Fall Schedule: Supergirl to Sundays, Arrow to Mondays

There are a couple of different highlights worth discussing in the CW 2018 fall schedule, mostly because this is a network doing something a little different. For the first time in years, they are broadcasting shows on Sunday nights! That’s a big risk for them, but it seems like they are trying to counteract this by launching the lineup with some solid players.

Check out the full schedule below, including all five superhero shows airing on a weekly basis. All times listed are Eastern. Click here to read more about the new shows.

Mondays

8:00 – Legends of Tomorrow

9:00 – Arrow

It’s nice to see The CW make a commitment to Legends of Tomorrow after it has bounced around like a hot potato for a while. Having Arrow air after it should help to stabilize the night as a whole.

Tuesdays

8:00 – The Flash

9:00 – Black Lightning

Basically, the same schedule that we had earlier this year.

Wednesdays

8:00 – Riverdale

9:00 – All American (new drama)

We’re not entirely sold that football series All American is going to work, but if it does pairing it with Riverdale seems to be the right move.

Thursdays

8:00 – Supernatural

9:00 – Legacies (new drama)

The shift towards The Originals spin-off Legacies is interesting — The CW hasn’t given The Originals much attention in two years and yet now, they are giving its spin-off prime fall real estate.

Fridays

8:00 – Dynasty

9:00 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

The CW is still giving Dynasty plenty of attention despite a low-rated first season. As a reminder, this is the final year for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Sundays

8:00 – Supergirl

9:00 – Charmed (new drama)

Going after female viewers on Sundays seems to be a bold play as NFL counter-programming. Also, there aren’t many other networks out there who are currently doing it.
