NCIS season 15: Duane Henry opens up about departure

Duane Henry

Following his dramatic departure from NCIS on Tuesday night, Duane Henry is now speaking about his exit in the most touching way.

While his departure from the series didn’t get anywhere near the same sort of publicity as his co-star Pauley Perrette’s, it definitely did have an emotional impact. His character of Clayton Reeves gave his life in order to help someone else in Abby, who then decided to leave to help create a charity in his mother’s honor. It was her play of paying it forward to a very good man who wanted nothing more than to help other people.

Henry’s story making it onto the series is one of the most inspirational out there, so we really encourage you to take a look at the full message that he posted on Twitter (see below). In this, Henry discusses being homeless prior to getting the job on the CBS series, losing his girlfriend during his time working on it, and also dealing with the loneliness that can come from being away from much of your family. It helps you to better understand the story behind the man and it’s absolutely a pretty powerful story. It makes you want to root for him even more when it comes to his future.

We imagine that moving forward, there are going to be all sorts of different opportunities out there for Duane. While it would be great to see him do some more work that shows off his action-hero capacities, it’d also be fun to get him in a comedy or something else where he can just run around and be silly. It’d be a very different sort of role than what he had as Clayton Reeves, but be a great showcase of his versatility.
