NCIS season 15 episode 23 preview: What’s next after Abby’s exit?

NCIS

What’s coming up on NCIS season 15 episode 23? Prepare for an installment entitled “Fallout” that will be the first following the exit of Abby, and with that, a story that could have a lot of experimentation stuffed into it.

We would imagine that this upcoming episode entitled “Fallout” is going to be one that is very much different than most of the ones we’ve seen so far this season. For example, it may be easier to mask Abby’s exit by focusing most of the action outside of the office. Meanwhile, it seems as though Gibbs is being thrown into an intense, personal mission that could end up having him distracted from some of the sadness that he’s feeling. Regardless of whether she lives or dies (that is not confirmed — this preview is being written prior to tonight’s episode airing), it’s clear either way that Gibbs is going to be missing her. The same goes for everyone else on the team.

Below, the NCIS season 15 episode 23 synopsis offers up some more information in regards to what is coming up next:

“Fallout” – While Gibbs attends the memorial service for a friend who was lost at sea, he discovers that the deceased, Navy Captain Phillip Brooks (Don Lake), has been hiding in a fallout shelter after his boat was attacked and he swam to shore, on NCIS, Tuesday, May 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Susan Walters guest stars as Marcy Brooks, the Commander’s wife.

This episode is the penultimate one of the season and over the course of it, we imagine that there are going to be a number of big, powerful, and important moments from start to finish. This will set the stage for a finale that will pose new challenges … while also of course keeping you waiting until this fall, when NCIS is going to air more than likely in its typical timeslot.
