The Blacklist season 5 episode 21 preview: The duffel bag auction

Are you ready for The Blacklist season 5 episode 21 to come on NBC in one week’s time? This episode will be the most important one of the season to date, at least in terms of giving us an opportunity to see whether or not Reddington gets that infamous duffel bag back. In the aftermath of everything that happened with Ian Garvey the bag has found itself all the way down in Central America. With that, Reddington has his work cut out for him trying to get it back. If he can do that, his life suddenly becomes much easier and he doesn’t have to worry anywhere near as much about Liz Keen or anyone else securing it.

Now that we’ve said all of this, since when has anything actually gone for Reddington in a way that equates to perfection? We’re getting very close to the end of the season and that, perhaps more so than anything, should be a pretty strong indication of the chaos that is coming to be coming up over the next few weeks.

Below, the Blacklist season 5 episode 21 synopsis offers up some additional scoop as to just what you can expect to see coming up in the future:

05/09/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : When Samar (Mozhan Marno) lands in the crosshairs of an unconventional Blacklister, Aram (Amir Arison) and the Task Force spring into action to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) journeys to Costa Rica to prevent the duffel bag of bones from being sold to the highest bidder at an underground auction. Bob Gunton and Michael Aronov guest star.

What if Reddington finds herself in competition with Liz or the Task Force? Or, what if it turns out that there is a new enemy creeping up? While we may know that we’re going to have a chance to learn the truth about the duffel bag and the bones at the end of this season, there could also still be many different loose threads that remain out there going into a possible season 6. (For the record, we really do wish that there was a season 6 renewal out there at this point.)

The title for this episode, for those curious, is “Lawrence Dean Devlin.”
