The Resident season 1 episode 13: Nic continues her quest to stop Lane

The Resident episode 13

Fox has released a glimpse into what’s ahead The Resident. This freshmen show has given fans a great, fresh new series because, despite being a medical show, it’s decided to take a completely different route by having good and bad guys. In other medical dramas the doctors for the most part are all friends, however, The Resident, clearly has two teams. So what can we expect in episode 13 titled “Run, Doctor, Run”? Take a look at the attached synopsis:

“Devon and Conrad race against the clock to save the life of a woman who is deteriorating fast from undetermined symptoms. When the patient turns out to be a hero who helps previous criminals get their lives back together, the team relies on her family of ex-cons to help diagnose and treat her. Tensions rise as Nic continues her search for evidence to incriminate Lane, but must simultaneously tend to her sister, Jessie (guest star Julianna Guill), who is rushed into the ER. Meanwhile, York returns to the hospital with his mother, who is in need of a risky procedure, and comes face-to-face with the stone-cold Dr. AJ Austin (guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner) in the all-new “Run, Doctor, Run” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, May 7 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”

This episode is going to be packed with intensity and drama. Devon and Conrad are racing against time to save a woman’s life. This is going to be interesting to watch, especially for Conrad, who might take this case personally. This patient could remind him of Lily, who he couldn’t save, and so he may do just about anything to save this woman so that he can feel he achieved something. We know he is starting to see Lily’s ghost as part of his beginning depression and guilt over her death so his actions during this episode may be careless and rushed. The drama continues for Nic as she becomes more and more obsessed with figuring out how to make Lane pay for her mistakes. Nic has been the leader on taking Lane down and we have a feeling she’s going to be closing in on Lane, which could lead to trouble down the road. However, she’s going to be challenged even more when her sister comes into the ER. We know that Nic’s sister has some problems, so we can’t imagine what it’s going to be like for her to see that her sister is back in an ER. Between Lane and her sister, we imagine she may be distracted and preoccupied to be the best nurse for the other patients in her care. In addition, Lane is up to something and if Nic slips one bit, it won’t be good for her down the rode.

We also have to keep an eye out for Lane and Randolph. As we saw last week, Lane made a move on Randolph so are they a thing now? Possibly and if they are, look out because they are one dangerous couple.

Meanwhile our favorite patient, York, returns to the hospital, only this time it’s for his mother. We love this character and are glad to see him back, despite, only being back for his mother. So this will be intriguing to see how this is going to play out.
