Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 20 video: Arizona’s weed-cookie crisis
To be specific, this storyline is going to revolve in part around cookies — weed cookies — that were handed out by Arizona by mistake. They were accidentally laced with cannabis and just about every doctor within the hospital has had them. To make matters worse, all of this is happening in the midst of a presentation that many are giving about the results of the surgical contest.
In the sneak peek below, you can see already the impact that said cookies are having on both Jackson and Catherine as they do their best to awkwardly go through their presentation while clearly distracted, to say the least. Meanwhile, you’ve got a few people in the audience who are clearly under the influence.
On the surface, this sounds like it could be one of the funniest episodes of the season, but we don’t want to lose sight on the fact that weed, if you take enough of it, could be serious business. There could be some major problems that come with someone ingesting too many cookies; or, someone having a few and then going into an operation. This could prove to be a legal nightmare for the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and, as the person responsible for handing the out, it’s possible in theory that Arizona’s career could be on the line. This is something that you really have to consider based on the fact that Jessica Capshaw is leaving the show. We thought previously that the character could have cancer; now, we’re concerned that her weed-cookie passing habit could lead to career consequences.
