Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 20 preview: Jackson’s surprising news
To kick things off, the title for this episode is “Judgment Day” and this is going to be the installment in which huge things start to happen. Some of the surgeons are going to have an opportunity to showcase some of the various innovations that they’ve been working on, which should allow people to see some of the future of medicine. However, in true Grey’s Anatomy fashion don’t be altogether shocked that there are going to be some things that go completely off the rails in the process. There’s going to be a lot of comedy here at first (thanks mostly because of the way in which it happens), but who knows? Things may take a turn for the dramatic or the tragic by the time that we reach the end of it.

During presentations on Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Prototypes Day, Arizona shares some cookies from an appreciative patient that, unbeknownst to her, contain a special ingredient. Meanwhile, Catherine reveals some shocking details to Jackson about his grandfather’s past; and Jo steps in mid-operation on a major surgery after Bailey and Meredith are down for the count.

The more that we start to get into this episode, the more in turn we’re hoping that there are a few major twists and turns along the way. We want to see this series continue to find a way to surprise 14 seasons in and never hold anything back.
Also, don’t be surprised if this episode starts to push us a little closer to the endgame, which unfortunately for this season does include the departures of both Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw. We would like to see April and Arizona get worthy send-offs where they are each offered a chance to get some time in the spotlight and a celebratory farewell. In other words, please don’t kill them off. Hasn’t this show had enough sadness top last a lifetime?
