GLOW season 2: Netflix releases premiere date and teaser

Your favorite Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back in the ring Friday, June 29. “Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Marc Maron) is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger.”
Netflix’s Golden Globe nominated series finished its freshmen season with a twist. If fans will recall, during the final match Debbie challenged Ruth to a duel as she was being crowded champion, only to be beaten by Debbie. Debbie was then crowded champion. Tammé, however, steals the Crown as part of Sam’s plan to continue the storyline. It was great and it definitely opened the door for Season 2.
And it seems like the fun will continue. According to the synopsis above, Debbie and Ruth will be cordial with each other despite their setback and will put the show first. However, their issue will still cause some difference. So will their differences come to a boiling point again? If the two continue to put off the elephant in the room then their could be another outburst, which we are sure the producers of the show will want to broadcast. It’s also going to be interesting to see how Sam and his teenage daughter will adapt to living together. They certainly have a long way to go before they settle into a routine, but seeing them settle into their everyday life together is what will be exciting to see. They will have their arguments and they will make up, but what will their arguments be about? They could be anything from the stress of the show to their personalities clashing. Sam’s daughter and him have similar personalities which will clash, and they will have other sides of their living together that will drive each nuts. We can’t wait to watch it unfold.
In addition, the teaser released by Netflix was so refreshing. It had the famous film, Flashdance, theme to it and it was amazing. In the beginning of the teaser, we saw the girls dressed out of costume getting ready for a show. They were singing and dancing and having fun. Then the screen flashed and we saw the girls dressed and ready to go until Sam comes into frame and tells them to get back to work. It completely nailed about the heart of the show is about and gave us a hint of what Season 2 will bring and that’s that we will see similar elements from Season 1, but with a twist in Season 2.
